Party: Princess Tea Party

I'm a #boymom, so when my sister plans my niece's birthday parties, I get to live vicariously through her for everything pink. For my niece's 7th birthday, she wanted nothing more than to wear a princess dress and have a fancy tea party where she could dance and sing with her friends. Enter my sister, Party Planner Extraordinaire.
It seriously was a Pinterest perfect party if you ask me. And the girls had a blast.
Party details below including where she had the adorable invites and signage created on Etsy (not my shop) and printed.

She opted for fantastically rustic little hall for the venue and brought the decor. We moved tables out of the way and arranged what we needed for the girls to have their own head table and ballroom size dance floor in the room.

If you'd like to know how to make the tissue paper pom poms, let me know in the comments if I should make a how-to video post about it. The pom poms are super easy and fun to make!

How amazing are these place settings? Can you believe they are plastic? Princess milk jug glasses by yours truly. If you have a Silhouette Cameo or Cricut, you can make these easily. If not, I'm happy to step in to help. Just message me, or go to Etsy s.

As the girls arrived, dance music was playing and my niece greeted everyone and brought them over to the table where a friend and I did their nails--put d's link here. If you do your own nails like I do, you MUST get this product or one like it. Quick drying drops or Quick drying top coat from Essie ---put link here --- Their nails dried in a couple minutes and they were off to dance. It was so sweet to see them each dressed in their fanciest dress, and you could tell they felt incredible by the smiles on their faces.

After they ran around and danced a bit, it was time for lunch. My sister had custom Bingo cards made (because of course she did) at _______, so the girls had something fun to do while they ate. They loved it! After lunch they did a little limbo contest, some pin the jewel on the crown, and of course had cake and SO MUCH SUGAR. My sister had picked up little odds and ends (think $1 section Target) for prizes and made sure each girl got a prize for one of the games...which also doubled as a favor with their wand and candy.
Can we talk about this cake for a minute? You guys this is from a local Tampa Bay momma ---put link here---and it was SO GOOD. Plus, she delivers...which is good because there's no way this fairy godmother would have gotten it to the ball as pretty as this, or without a significant bite taken out of it along the way...I like cake too much. And this one, well, takes the cake (shaking my own head).

The cupcakes looked too pretty to eat...don't worry I didn't let that stop me. How sweet do they look next to the real roses in the floral arrangements I put together from Trader Joe's? They seriously have the best and budget-friendly selection of flowers. And they last forever!

Kinda proud of myself for making the cookies. When your niece asks her fairy godmother to make princess crown cookies, you can't really say no, especially when she's a master negotiator at the age of 7. They were inspired by family baker __sweet henry's bakery---link---. One of these days I will post a video on how to do frosting like this because it's life-changing when you learn the trick! I opted for the treat table pic below with the blue Pokémon ball on it below, because my littlest dude was the only boy to attend so he had to leave his mark. lol
