When your 2 year old pushes a giant box through an entire store, announcing to anyone and everyone along the way that we will give the lady money and then he can open it, you have a choice.
1. Politely hand the toy to the cashier and decline the purchase. Smile apologetically.
2. Fold.
I folded you guys. Big time.
With all the grandparents standing in line behind me remarking how adorable this child was who knew exactly what he wanted, my heart melted and I realized most of his toys are hand-me-downs. Not that he doesn't have any toys, he does. But I had 3.5 years before he was born to spoil an only child. I mean, why not splurge this once. Right? Anyone with me? Bueller?
So there I was trying to justify the large purchase, and then I gave up. When I saw the smiles on both kids' faces when I actually said yes (with the entire store watching to see what I would do).
