There is still half the summer left, so in the spirit of crossing things off the kids' "Summer Wish List", I'm finally posting about our trip to Glazer Children's Museum in Tampa, FL from this past Spring Break.
And rather than making you scroll through a huge post, here's a link to our highlight reel so you can see for yourself how cool this place is! Be sure to check out my tips below for some info that isn't in the video.
Helpful Tips:
Arrive as soon as they open for less crowds. We noticed it was much busier as the day wore on.
Lunch: Museum re-entry is permitted with wristbands. You can walk to one of the local downtown hot spots nearby, or pack a lunch cooler and blanket in your car. Curtis Hixon Park is adjacent to the building with a large grassy area out front. There are also splashing fountains near the entrance too, so bring a change of clothes and/or bathing suits for the kids and a towel if you are so inclined.
Make it a Play-Date: The facility is 2 levels and quite large. If you have children of different age ranges, you may want to consider going with your spouse, a grandparent, or planning a play-date with a trusted friend so you can divide and conquer. That way, if they want to do different things, one of you can take the big kids around, while the other keeps a close eye on the littles.
Have fun!
