Storing Dishwasher Tabs Safely

Everyone likes a good secret hiding spot...and if you have kids or pets, you'll probably agree that it's in our nature to worry about child/pet-proofing your home. Especially when safety warnings like those attributed dishwasher tabs and laundry detergent pods headline the news. So a trip to Homegoods later and about 6 long (but so very worth it) weeks later when our kitchen reno was complete, I finally had a stylish and safe spot for the dishwasher tabs in our home.
Timesaver Tip!
When you have a box with packing tape across the top, flip it upside down and open from the bottom. Usually the bottom isn't taped and it's much easier to open! Plus, you won't damage these 8 glorious Box Tops for Education, so you can still clip them and send them in to your child's school. ;)
The safest place for dishwasher and laundry tabs in a home with children is somewhere that they are locked and cannot be reached by the kiddos. As you can see, my jar is not locked away. At the time of the purchase, our youngest wasn't climbing, and since then we have discussed the dangers of these tabs, so he knows not to touch them. Please use discretion with your family and do what's safest for you and your children.

Decluttering these powerful little packets helps me breathe a little easier. And not having to stare at that giant cardboard box and all it's colorful powerwashing promises is the icing on the cake!
